Sangita Pedro, ND

I am a licensed Naturopathic Doctor specializing in family medicine.  I treat children of all ages including infants and teens along with the rest of the family!  I treat autoimmune disorders, allergies, thyroid dysfunction, fatigue, insomnia, psoriasis, eczema, chronic back and joint pain, digestive complaints, anxiety, depression, migraines and women’s health issues.

I earned my Naturopathic degree in Portland, Oregon at The National College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2005 with an emphasis in Classical Homeopathy and nutrition.  I also studied yoga while living in Portland Oregon and became certified to teach in 2008.  I currently offer private, therapeutic yoga instruction as part of my practice.  I moved my practice to Maine in the fall of 2014.

Naturopathic medicine encourages the body’s innate healing capacity using the safest, gentlest therapies possible for each person.  This results in a strengthened immune system, improved stress response and long-lasting health.

Patients will leave an initial 75-minute visit with a detailed and personalized treatment plan that will include some of the following: suggested diet and lifestyle changes, additional lab tests, nutritional supplements, botanical formulas, personalized Aromatherapy blends, flower essences and a homeopathic remedy.
